Three main types of grant are made:

General Grants

For residents who are in genuine financial need. These one-off grants can include help with unexpected expenses, help with clothing, replacing / providing household goods, furniture and carpets, the special needs of the disabled or chronically ill, and exceptionally help with bills etc.
The Trust also makes around 150 regular quarterly grants to those on low income in financial need.

Education Grants

For students and other residents who are undertaking education or training, help is given with living costs, equipment, stationery, childminding and other general expenses during their course of study. As a charity the Trust cannot help with costs that are the responsibility of the local authority or central government. Students are expected to take up their loan offers, or approach colleges for Access funding before asking us for help.

Community Grants

Community Grants can be made for projects, which are located in the Ancient Parish, or which will benefit its residents.
